Quick Summary:

The first wave knocked out all the power. The second wave you were lucky to survive. The third wave you were no longer lucky to be alive. The fourth weeded out the strongest but it also meant that you could no longer trust anyone. Now that it's the 5th wave, Cassie is on a mission to fufill the promise she made. When Evan Walker comes into Cassie's life, she has to decide if trusting him will help her save her brother or be the death of her.

I have to start by saying that this book has made it into my top ten favorite books! I never wanted to put this book down. The way Rick wrote it is truly genius. You get to experience the invansion through multiple perspectives. It's full of plot twist and heart break, but not your average idea of heart break. It makes you think in a realistic way what would happen if we really are invaded by aliens. Limits are truly tested and lives are forever changed. This is teen fantasy at its finest. It's dark and twisty, almost a forbbiden love and learning how to be human again. I'm hoping to pick up The Infinite Sea (book 2 in the series). I would definitely recommend this as your next read if you're a sci-fi lover or just looking to switch it up.
